Post Merchant services
I have called Light speed support and asked the "question what payment gateways are compatible with LS 3.0.3"

I have a merchant who needs to stay with First Data for merchant services but wants to use LS

The support person explained that Authoroze.net, Heartland and Merchant Warehouse and Axis where the only processing options and further explained that all where both processor and gateways.

When I pointed out that Authorizie.net was one of the most widely certified gateways I was told that they where a processor as well

This link from their site clearly states otherwise

http://www.authorize.net/resources/howi ... am/?step=1

At that point I thought I would look for answers here

Three Questions:
1) What payment gateways integrate with Light speed for Card present swiped (retail) transactions? (I have read here on the forums PC CHARGE, Authorize.net and HPS POS Gateway)

2) If Either Authorize.net or PC Charge are compatible with Light speed could a merchant use any credit card processor who is Certified PC Charge or Authorize.net

3) Which Versions of Authorize.net or PC Charge are compatible with Light Speed?

I just got an email back from First Data:

We can integrate with XSilva, but the merchant would have to have Authorize.net. Now usually XSilva is for MAC, so if this is the case, you would need to make sure they have Internet Explorer on their MAC, as Auth.net will only work on IE, and usually will NOT work on an IE emulator.

If you have a merchant who wants a merchant account via Wells Fargo contact me at

We process credit cards through Authorize.net via Axia. We log into Authorize.net daily in both Firefox and Safari.

Authorize.net works fine with LS as a gateway to your processor of choice. There is a monthly fee associated with it, but that's the cost of a gateway.

As far as the website working, you do NOT need IE for anything I have found on the site once you're set up. We use Safari just dandy with them.

Authorize.net - No IE needed.

Axia's online reporting however will ONLY work with IE. It is not even possible to log-in with other browsers. They told me at Cert Camp Chicago this would be resolved, but I haven't seen it happen yet.
