 Re: Magento / Lightspeed Integration
We have converted several magento users that were using it as their e-commerce package back to a single point solution with the XLS POS using our Cularis Store (almost on par with the feature set of Magento). I am not sure that Xsilva is working with any third party developers for their store aside from our work we have done for and with them - but it would be great to see an API or a web service like QuickBooks provides to talk to the POS. We offer all our clients that use our Store for Xsilva LightSpeed ongoing support for changes in the data structure of the XLS POS files and hopefully in the future a fully integrated web service.

cularis:
If one chooses the Cularis package to integrate into XSilva lightspeed, how does one go about sending the product data to the website?
Do you still have to purchase the 800$ web store package, discard the actual web store ,and use the built in exporter, or do you have a custom export/import script that bypasses the LS web store function? thank you

 Re: Magento / Lightspeed Integration
Slowly working through the issues with web store i hope i will have my store working the way i want soon i will post updates on another side note the option for a fully managed web store replacement is really expensive i made inquiries & it is way too costly highly unreasonable a simple magneto plug in would be fantastic xsilva should team up with them or atleast add more functionality also when are we going to see lightspeed 3 i bet they will release it when everyones support plans run out & to get it we will all be forced to pay extra Typical!

 Re: Magento / Lightspeed Integration
I'm really glad we didn't choose this option, we took magento. But we don't have a good way to update the quantity in the web site for now (it will be a excel import/export), my site is under developpement now, (for like 4 months), but it should be ready before christmas, so I will give you more infos later.

 Re: Magento / Lightspeed Integration
Hi we are currently using magento with the import product stocks option and using the export option on lightspeed, it works well if a little bit time consuming. Our site is at www.board-worx.com

 Re: Magento / Lightspeed Integration
Hi,
We've just finished a working module for Magento that syncs lightspeed webstore with magento. You can import all your products, images and categories and re-import to add new products and update stock, price, etc etc them as often as you need to.
Also, orders are sent to lightspeed from magento to be downloaded to the POS system.
The module is still in testing and doesn't include every option but it works and we are using for our customer's webstore.
If anyone is interested in using this we'd be happy to help, we can also help you with the hosting, design and implementation of your Magento store.
I'd be interested in getting a feel for how much need people have for this, please feel free to get in touch, either reply to this thread or pm me via the forums.
Thanks, Geoff

 Re: Magento / Lightspeed Integration
Dear Geoff,
Does your Magento/Lightspeed program work on LS's automated export? Ie, can you have it update the store with price/quantity/new products on a daily or hourly basis, without manual intervention?
Also, the code to get the customer orders back into the Lightspeed POS part of the community development, or is it only available commercially?
Thank you for your help, Forest

 Re: Magento / Lightspeed Integration
Hi Forest, Yes it will run hourly, half-hourly or however you want. The plugin includes some cron scripts which you can configure your server to run. We have released the module in basic form at http://code.google.com/p/lightspeedmagento/ where you can download it. I would hasten to add that this is not a finsihed product although it may already do what you need, and it doesn't come with much in the way of instructions or any kind of warranty. If anyone is interest in contributing code to the project please IM me or contacts us via our website at http://www.vistectotalit.com Kind regards, Geoff Chapman

 Re: Magento / Lightspeed Integration
Hi, do we need to have the LS webstore licence? I already have a webstore with magento that come from a LS import, but there is nothing automated. Do you think is gonna work to start from where we are or is it better to start from an empty store (because we begin to have many products in our store) ? This project seem really nice.

 Re: Magento / Lightspeed Integration
extremely interested in this plugin... Do you need to buy anything extra from XSilva? The web module seems extremely expensive for it being basically a data import/export utility. I'm wondering how your utility gets into the openbase database and how it puts orders back in...
Thanks, Forest
