Post Email Marketing
Hi everyone,

Considering the switch back to LS and am wondering what you all consider a "best practice" to tackle email marketing information. I'm guessing from the looks of things that a simple export is done with customer contact email addresses within certain groups, over to a 3rd party email marketing service?

Or does everyone push contact through to Daylite and export/categorize from there?

I'm curious to know what the "big league" guys do. :) Thanks!

Not sure we're "big league", but we do what you say: a big ol' export from LightSpeed then imported into MailChimp.

One bummer is that LightSpeed doesn't have a way to bulk remove email addresses. So when people unsubscribe, bounce, or mark as spam, you have to remove people one-by-one. Fortunately, at least MailChimp (probably same for Constant Contact, Campaign Monitor, etc.) will never send again to an address that unsubscribed, so even if you miss a few you won't accidentally spam anyone.

1- I use campain monitor website to send and track email campain.
2- In LS, I add a personalised box in contact info: "No email"
3- Once and then, I update campain monitor with the new emails I collected in LS.
To do so, I create a quick automated search in LS with : email is not " " and
the personalised box "No email" is uncheck.
Now the export is fast and easy.

Jean, the "no email" checkbox is a good idea. We've pondered on occasion a way to store an email address without subscribing it.

Unfortunately, we've used all our custom fields!
